Stages of Relationship Coaching for Singles We organize our relationship coaching around the following Stages.
Stage 1 - Readiness Coaching The old dating and mating practices don’t seem to work, as the divorce rate attests, but what does work? How can you find and have a successful Life Partnership in today’s world?
As a consumer and gratification-oriented society, we are very focused on what we want. We set ourselves up for failure when we pursue what we want unconscious of the long-term consequences of our choices, and the weaknesses we bring into a relationship will be magnified, not disappear. Few singles seem to realize and appreciate that the choices they make when single can sabotage or enhance their success in a future relationship To find and have a successful Life Partnership, we must become more conscious of who we are, what we want, and how to effectively get what we want. Here are three key questions: - What do I need to be conscious of?
- How do I become and stay conscious?
- What conscious choices do I need to make?
Readiness Coaching activities may include: - Relationship history
- Personality assessment (traits, values, preferences, etc)
- Identification of goals and needs
- Clarify Vision, Requirements, Needs, and Wants
- Develop profile of Life Partner
- Develop “Relationship Plan” to manifest/attract Life Partner
Stage 2 - Attraction Coaching So you are ready for a committed relationship and clear about what you want and the kind of partner you want to meet. Now, Given the power of your unconscious forces, how do you actually implement your conscious choices?
Attraction coaching supports you to remain consciously aware of your goals while you develop and implement an Attraction Plan to find your soul mate. You are supported in identifying and clearing any blocks as they occur allowing you to move forward, beyond past limits and on to achieving your dream.
Attraction Coaching activities may include: - Where and how to meet potential life partners
- Mastering the skills of scouting, sorting, screening and testing
- Effectively meeting people, developing networks
- Staying on track with your Relationship Plan
- Developing and enhancing dating and relationship skills
Stage 3 - Pre-Commitment Coaching
Meeting someone new is often a wonderful experience and it is all too easy to get carried away in haze of new love, lust and romance. This is an important, enjoyable and exciting stage in any relationship and a time when our feelings and emotions can drive all consciousness from our minds. It is a time when we can so easily fall into dating trips and make choices that we may later regret. Pre-Commitment coaching supports new couples to be conscious and objective about their future before making any commitments.
Coaching activities may include:
- Become clear about whether this relationship is right for you
- Getting a reality check, being accountable to what you want
- Developing strategies for testing, decision-making
- Addressing emotional and compatibility issues
